 Friday

 
 

 Early arrivals from 3.30pm, onwards. Massages available as an option. Indian head massage, back massage, reflexology, reiki: €39 or £30 for 50-minutes.

 Yoga with Gertie, suitable for both for beginners and for more experienced.

 Saturday

 
 6.35am*

 Option to take a boat service over to island (across 300 metres of lake water) to visit temple. Depart from island again with plenty of time for morning yoga.

 (Optional) Attendance at the 'Greeting of the Deities' in the temple. This ceremony begins with some spiritual music arranged by George Harrison (of the Beatles) in 1970 - George played the harmonium for the recording.

The programme continues with some chant music and an arati - aratis are ancient ceremonies that have taken place in Hindu and Buddhist temples for millennia.

Afterwards there is a talk on the Srimad Bhagavatam, a Sanskrit philosophical text. Guests are welcome to stay for as long as they like, or may relax elsewhere on the island, as they wish.

 Departure by car to the Share Holiday village

 12.30pm


 Canoeing adventure. We'll canoe from the Share Holiday village travelling in a Southerly direction past Trannish Island, Trasna Island, Inish Rath, Crehan Island and Dernish Island, stopping in the Fairy Wood for a picnic. Approx 4 hours on the water.

 5.00pm  Arrive back at Share Centre, drive back to Mandala House and relax


 6.00pm

  Dinner. After dinner you are welcome to book some aromatherapy or sports massages, reiki, reflexology, etc. See choices here: Therapies

 Option 1: depart for ferry to island for the Sunday programme. There is a 30-minute kirtan chant in the Temple from 12.30pm. .

 

Option 2: Or some guests may like to just relax in our retreat centre for some time before they depart

 

 

 1.00pm

  (optional) Talk on the Vedic wisdom of ancient India. Or guests can use this time to relax, chill-out and go for a walk around the 22-acre wooded island.

 

 2.00pm

  The Sunday Feast

 Return ferry back to mainland

 

 

 

  All prices include:

  • Accommodation for the duration of retreat

     Fees for this retreat:

  • £170 (Sterling) or €200 (Euro) per person in shared accommodation 
  • £170 or €200 per person for two friends sharing 
  • £185 or €220 single room 
  •  £210 or €250 ensuite single room 
  • Option to stay Sunday night for €35 / £29 


  What to bring...

  • Sandals or wellington boots (when in canoe) 
  • Walking boots (for forest cross-country trek on island) 
  • Tracksuit bottoms 
  • Water 
  • Sun cream and / or hat  (hopefully will be needed, ha ha!!) 
  • Gloves (any type, but best something like cycling gloves) - this is a suggestion to wear for your hands when rowing.
