Personal Retreats

You are welcome to come on a personal retreat if we have availability. These can sometimes be available on weekends when another retreat is taking place at this time. Or, you may like to bring some friends and have some time all to yourselves. We can design an event to suit you.

 

 

 

Included in the Personal Retreat package:

  • Two nights' accommodation
  • Six meals
  • One 50-minute and one 30-minute massage (or reiki therapy) or a personal Tai Chi class with the lovely Frances McHugh.
  • Guided visit to Inis Rath Island and temple 
  • Your choice of classes e.g. meditation, cookery, yoga, etc. See below for these choices*.
  • Would you like extra Yoga, Tai Chi, etc? Just let us know what you'd like to do, and we'll design your weekend.

Yoga - Tim McEvitt is available to lead the Atma Power yoga set. Additionally, yoga teachers Chrissie (originally from Germany), Gertie (Fermanagh) and Lisa (from New York) are happy to teach yoga on your retreat.

Massage - Relax with a full body massage, aromatherapy, Indian head massage, Reflexology, Hot Stone Massage, Sports Massage, Swedish massage and Deep tissue massage. We have a team of cheerful and enthusiastic local therapists who take part in our retreats: Elizabeth, Sukhada, Fiona, Lisa and Amy.

Walking - Forest, mountain or lakeside walks or hikes available in County Fermanagh. We have a variety of routes in different locations taking from between 1 and 5 hours to walk.

Meditation - Silent meditation sitting either on a chair or cross-legged; A visualization accompanied by soothing relaxation music and concluding with Tim singing and playing gentle chants on the harmonium.

Cookery Classes - Carmen Padilla Quiel teaches cookery classes. She's specifically good at Indian vegetarian cuisine, however most people she teaches cooking to are neither Indians nor vegetarians. But everyone appreciates delicious food that is relatively easy to prepare.

Eastern philosophy - Learn about wisdom based on the ancient text Bhagavad Gita. The Gita discusses the nature of the soul, the Supreme Being, Nature, karma, reincarnation, time, hatha yoga and bhakti yoga.

Japa Meditation - Japa is a personal meditation which involves the gentle repetition of the Maha-mantra on prayer beads. We show you what to do and explain some philosophy behind the practise. Japa has some special characteristics. For example, one can walk in the countryside for hours practising japa
