Suitable for beginners and improvers to
yoga and mindfulness.



 Optional massage times: 4.00pm, 5.00pm

Aromatherapy massage, full-body massage; head, neck and shoulder massage; Indian head massage, reflexology, Reiki, Sound therapy, Sports Massage - these therapies are all available from 3.30pm and should be pre-booked. Cost: €39 for 50mins therapy.


 6.00pm  Arrival (by this time). You're very welcome to arrive earlier.

 Option to take a boat service over to island (across 300 metres of lake water) to visit temple. Although an optional activity (due to the early morning rising) we recommend you join in this fascinating cultural experience. The temple's first programme is at 4.30am every morning (we don't attend this), so the 7.00am ceremony is the second half of the morning programme.

The crossing to island takes 4 mins.


From 7.00am there is the attendance of the 'Greeting of the Deities'. This ceremony begins with some spiritual music arranged by George Harrison (of the Beatles) in 1970 - George played the harmonium for the recording.

The programme continues with some chant music and an arati - aratis are ancient ceremonies that have taken place in Hindu and Buddhist temples for millennia.

Afterwards there is a talk on the Bhagavad Gita, a Sanskrit philosophical text. Guests are welcome to stay for as long as they like, or may relax elsewhere on the island, as they wish. We depart from the talk early.

Depart for a forest walk at the beautiful Killeshandra forest park (the drive there takes 30mins - we do car-sharing so kindly request someone to drive others).

Dinner, followed by evening relaxation. Massages are available.



 8.30am  Yoga (suitable for beginners or intermediate)





 A study of Mindfulness  




 (Option) Depart to cross over to island on ferry (12.20pm) for temple / island visit. Kirtan sacred songs - Sunday programme with various other visitors and participants. This event takes place every Sunday.



 (optional: this takes place on island) Talk on the Vedic wisdom of ancient India. Guests may also use this time to relax and chill-out, if they wish.



 Take the Sunday lunch in the temple on the island and the return ferry leaves at 3.15pm to return to the mainland

I came in contact with the mysterious and ancient discipline of Yoga in 2003 when I lived in Italy. There I studied with a wonderful and experienced yogiini named Silvana Ferrante who had learned the yoga techniques in India where she had lived for many years. In 2010 I graduated from the Rishikesh Yoga Peeth (India) where I attended one of the most recognised programmes certified by the Yoga Alliance. Since then I have visited India twice to deepen my teaching skills and meditation techniques. Currently I teach Yoga in Swords, County Dublin.

I am also passionate about Mindfulness and 'Living with Awareness'. The practises I'm learning day by day have as a key objective to anchor ourselves to the present moment and loosen all the mental conditioning that erode life of joy and happiness. These techniques enhance our physchological and physical well-being, to experience greater energy and satisfaction with life, and improve out capacity to respond rather than react to life's challenges.
